Wall Socket, Interlock Receptacle, 16A, 3 pole, Hazardous Area
The GHG 511 wall socket is used for the power supply of local controls in hazardous areas, including industrial installations, mobile machinery, and similar equipment. This wall mount socket is suitable for use in Zones 1 and 2 as well as in Zones 21 and 22 in accordance with IEC/EN 60079-10-1 and IEC/EN 60079-10-2.
The low-voltage sockets are fitted with a load switch and can be used up to maximum of 16 A. To switch on the socket, the plug is inserted, pushed fully home and then turned through approximately 45 degrees to the right. When switching off and pulling the plug, the insertion process is reversed.
The plug can be pushed into the socket and pulled out of it only whilst the socket is switched off. In the open air, the plugs must be kept with the plug opening pointing downwards or be closed with optional protective plug caps. This socket is not suitable for Zone 0 and Zone 20 hazardous areas.
